For the past 35 years, Joseph Meloy has been a noticeable presence on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering. In addition to his director of counseling services duties, he is a senior lecturer in the general studies department. Meloy has also been the head coach of the college’s men's golf team for three decades. In 1998, he was inducted into the MSOE Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements with the men’s golf team.
He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from University of Wisconsin-Madison in psychology and counseling and guidance, respectively. In 1983, he received the Johanna Seelhorst Werwath Distinguished Staff Award and became a national certified counselor. He is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Wisconsin.
He is the senior group director at Paranet and started the inaugural group, Paranet 1, in the winter of 1989. He presently runs two operations groups, a CFO group, a multi-function group and a variety of teams.
Joseph is the past president of Wisconsin College Personnel Association and a member of the American College Personnel Association, and Association of Psychological Type and Human Factors Society. When not on campus, he enjoys golfing and cooking. Joseph and his wife Katie live in Wauwatosa, and have four children.
